It’s pretty rare for hurricanes to hit the Orlando area directly, as it’s in the center of the state, but it can happen. In addition to the heat, July is within hurricane season for much of the Southern US, not just Florida. ![]() Or hop on a water ride, like Kali River Rapids at Animal Kingdom, or make a bee line for an indoor ride or shop for an air conditioning break.Īnd of course, you can always take a dip in your resort pool! More than likely, the temps will be between 80-95° F all day, so don’t let that average low temp fool you!Īdd a layer of the notorious summertime Florida humidity and you’ve got some miserable weather. Heat-wise, the average high temperature is 92° F and average low is 76° in July ( source). Thank goodness for air conditioning in all the resorts, indoor rides, and shops! You can also take the opportunity of a few hours of rain to relax and explore your resort hotel, dine with Mickey, and take in the magic of the Disney experience. Shopping and dining areas offer nearly any Disney souvenir imaginable, and the Disney Springs area houses a movie theater and Disney Quest, a multilevel arcade and interactive game center. The Disney Springs, Downtown Disney and West Side Marketplace are also ideal for rainy days, and can be easily accessed on the monorail. Consider meeting Mickey and Minnie in whichever Disney park you’re in, or taking a spin through the Haunted Mansion. Head to the indoor attractions until the downpour passes almost every park has indoor shows and exhibits that operate even when the weather turns damp. Major weather events are relatively rare, but even if you encounter a rainy day at Disney World, you can still have fun. ![]()
